Locals and tourists alike laud these "old-school" "family favorites" that "keep the quality up" via "top-notch" Italian-style seafood, from "wonderful crab" to "must" -try cioppino; a few say it's "not what it used to be" , but the "seasoned" staff and "beautiful" waterfront views still make for "a true San Fran tradition" by most standards.

This is one of the top restaurants I’ve ever been to and definitely our favorite from our San Francisco trip. Absolutely everything our party of 11 ordered we loved. You can’t go wrong with any of their dishes. The service was also impeccable. If you’re a dessert person try the seven layer cake. Their seafood is top notch but if you’re a red meat fan their steak was also extremely good.

My family and I usually ride BART to SF and walk around pier 39. Whenever, we do, we always eat at Scoma's. The food is so delicious here. I love that I can get my favorite seafood or shellfish and my husband can get his steak or chicken. Whatever you order at Scoma's will be fresh and very delicious. You will love the wait staff as I do. They are knowledgeable about all dishes, wine, drinks, and desserts.

I tried the mixed seafood grill. Very good fish, especially the shrimps, among the best I ever had. Service was very good and I didn’t have to wait for a table since I chose the cocktail lounge. 4 stars because is a bit overpriced for the amount (39$). Plus there is a 4% gratuity on top of normal tipping.
