Aqua Pazza
Mediterranean small plates & wine
Seafood · North End · $$
North End restaurateur Frank De Pasquale helms this Mediterranean-spanning purveyor of flavorful small plates, with a 30-dish-deep menu culling inspiration from Italy (arancini), Greece (seared lamb with tzatziki), Turkey (vine-wrapped sujuk) and other coastal cuisines. Wine bottles and crates bedeck the dining room, where gold curtains frame floor-to-ceiling windows that offer excellent people-watching in a quaint, historic neighborhood.

I've been dying to go a a great Oyster bar in Boston and I think I just found the perfect place! I found out about them by searching through Seated so I decided to give them a try. I was very impressed! Love the idea of small plates to share, and the unbelievably fresh oysters. Definitely coming back.

Wow, my 2 friends and I came into Aqua Pazza with no expectations and left blown away! We originally stumbled into here at 4:30 pm on a Sunday after putting our name on a 1.5 hour waitlist at another place. The moment we walked in, Mike, who is the chef, owner, and operator greeted us. We were seated at the best table at the restaurant in an open, bright, inviting space that was refreshing from the old, dark, crowded restaurants of the North End. The food was impeccable. The raw bar is a must. Our favorites on the menu were the Zucchinata and Tonno. You could taste the knowledge, precision, creativity, and effort behind all the dishes. Throughout the meal, Mike took his time to explain the details behind all his creations and his story as a restaurant owner. The restaurant was getting busier as we ate and overhearing I could tell all his servers were attentive and very knowledgeable as well. We ended our lovely meal with desserts kindly brought to us, and my goodness the Key Lime Pie with Early Grey mousse is a must! We ended up cancelling our place in line at the other restaurant because we were having such an amazing time here. If you want the whole package of a dining experience of food, presentation, and service, this is worth the visit. We will definitely be back when we visit the North End!
