Serene spot for French-accented fare
French · $$
Local roots and a simple, seasonal cooking approach inform this "casual yet classy" French-inflected eatery near Harvard Square, where a wood-fired oven and grill turn out "pitch-perfect" , "well-thought-out" plates served by an "attentive" staff; set in the storied former Chez Henri space, the "sophisticated" , "airy" surrounds feature wood-topped tables and a marble bar proffering "delicious" cocktails and a thoughtfully curated wine list.

The food was quite good. Our waitress was not. She was condescending and asked multiple times to clear our dishes before we were done eating. She was young and perhaps this is her first serving job, but she needs more training! She is the face of the restaurant to the customers she is serving, and as such, makes the restaurant seem unprofessional and pushy. I already said the food is good, but it wasn't so good as to overcome the service. **Four months have passed since posting this review and I find it telling that no one from the restaurant has made any effort to reach out to me. I'm a business owner and when someone has an issue and posts a grievance, I'm all over it to try and repair a less than stellar experience. The mark of a good business is how they manage adversity. This is all to explain why my rating went from two stars to one.

Great, creative food. Service was excellent. Dishes are tasty, but outside of the norm in a 4 of 5 stars way. Foodies would love this spot - I'm a foodie, but was in the mood for something a little more standard when I went

The food was different, not too extreme, but definitely some things I'd never seen on a menu anywhere else. Everything was delicious and portion sizes were perfect. The gin cocktail was excellent. I would bring people from out of town here to show them there are great restaurants in Cambridge outside of Harvard Square.
