Newish trendy spot in Soho finally took over that constantly vacant spot on the corner of W Broadway and Grand. Walking by, I have always wanted to stop here for a meal. The signs outside indicate this is a "pasta bar from a Michelin-starred chef". I love the decor, it's very modern and the ambiance is chill but inviting. My family and I came here for dinner and we all really liked it here. We sat by the bar and we were able to watch the chefs at work- that was pretty cool. We loved the different types of pasta and the friendliness of the staff here. The menu is always changing, so you can expect them to have different specials. We had some pasta with curry in it- it was very delicious and we were surprised how much we enjoyed the unique combo. In the summer time/ warmer weather, they have the windows and doors open so it gives a very open air feel. Cannot wait to be back another time- they even gave us some uncooked pasta to make at home. Very chic and trendy place, great service and delicious food and cocktails. That's a win in the books for me!

Honestly, I’m so disappointed. I had such high hope for this restaurant because the reviews were so positive. My friend and I arrived and ordered a glass of wine. Our server was knowledgeable and very patient with our questions. He ended up suggesting his favorite dishes which we gladly welcomed. Everything seemed to be going really well and we eagerly awaited the arrival of our food.. but our food never came. We waited for over an hour for our pasta to be ready. The restaurant wasn’t super busy so I still don’t understand why our food took so long. Literally, an hour later, our server came and said that they were having issues preparing our food. He said it would take another 10 more minutes.. 20 minutes later our food finally arrived. At this point I’m so so hungry and now also super irritated because the service took forever. I was thinking they would try and make it up to us somehow but they didn’t. They asked for full price for the food we didn’t even get to eat. I asked for the food to go because my friend had evening plans, and after 1.5 hours there was no way we would have time to eat it there. They gave us our food in paper bags but they said they didn’t have plastic utensils to eat it on the go. I’m still very upset with the service as I’m now on the train, still hungry having spent money for food that will probably be cold by the time I get home. I am so disappointed by the experience. I really expected more. I also think it’s worth mentioning that me and my friends are both African Americans. I hesitate to label anything without proper evidence because I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. But when other (non African American) couples arrive after us AND get their food before us, it makes me ask a few questions. Like - was their something specific about our dish that made it take so long or could another factor be involved? Unfortunately, the server provided no such answers so I guess I’ll never know. What I DO know is that I will not be returning nor will I recommend this restaurant to anyone. #endrant
