"A delightful treat" for discerning diners, this 28-seat Nob Hill New American devises "fantastic" , "well-presented" tasting menus starring local and "very seasonal" ingredients (with sourcing from a house-owned farm) complemented by "daring" wine pairings; the "wonderful" servers "know all the details" , and though the "small" portions are "expensive" , the performance is "amazing."

A variety of flavors and a great wine pairing. Not only did the sommelier have great info about the wines and how they would pair with the food, but all of the staff (e.g. the hostess) were able to deliver similarly interesting intros to each wine+food course. Loved the abalone dish! Also loved how the meal started and ended with "food that looks like mushrooms, sitting on rocks".

Sons and Daughters was a decent experience, but nothing stood out unfortunately. The service was top notch, but the food was not aesthetically appealing not delicious. Many meals included bread, which was probably the best part of the meal. Each portion that came out was small and I was so hungry that I went to Chinatown to get another dinner after. For the price, I would rather go to Gary Danko or Chinatown.
