SRV
Buzzy den of Italian small plates & wine
Italian · Back Bay · $$
In the style of a Venetian bacaro, or wine bar, this South End Italian keeps the vino flowing and the small plates (including sophisticated house made pastas) coming to guests gathered in the hobnob-enabling dining room, outfitted with drink rails to encourage mingling, or on the cloistered rear patio.

My group had a lovely dinner here electing the prefix multi-course menu. The overall menu was overwhelming and would have cost us a fortune to get the same amount of food we got with the set menu. The staff were very nice and friendly and the meatballs were the best meatballs I've ever had hands down. I was hoping for a little slower pacing of the food after the super long wait it took to get it - but the pacing did not detract from quality of the product. The pastas and the other small bites were all so very tasty.

My favorite restaurant in Boston of the year. Their tasting menu is a must try and stress free, you don't have to think about what to order because they bring you some of their favorite dishes. The service is great, and in the summer there is a back patio which gets quite nice to hang out in.

Had some of the best food and best service I have ever had here. Compliments to the whole team at SRV. We came on a weeknight and stayed for a long time—never felt rushed, ordered as we felt like we wanted more, it was great. I appreciated that when we ordered dessert and found the tiramisu wasn't to our liking, a manager noticed from across the room and came by to check in—did not charge us for it and asked for feedback. This is a great place to mark a special occasion or just to treat yourself. (It is expensive! But worth it for the right occasion).
