Fantastic meal and service last night! Raw and roasted oysters were superb! Cold beet dish and catfish entree as well! Only reason I’m not giving them a 5 star was my steak(although perfectly cooked medium rare) was flavorful but a bit tough. So it must have been the cut. Sarah handled our table. To call her a server does not do her justice. She was excellent!! Charming and knew the details of the menu in a way that’s rare these day! Loved her! Visiting from NYC and this was the highlight meal of our trip!

I always get oysters when I come here, but I almost always try something I haven't had here. It's always been great. The brunch Johnny Cakes were really good. Lots of flavor and texture. At dinner, I've had the braised clams and they were perfectly cooked. Lastly, the brunch Smoked Mary bloody is spicy and savory. Always a good time here.

We hope with all our hearts that it succeeds, this still new to Raleigh St Roche Oyster Bar, because we want to return often for our fill of freshly shucked oysters on the half shell and a stack of saltines to go with. Several sauces and a bowl of pure horseradish so you can make it hot and spicy to taste. We went for the happy hour $1 per oyster special on Tuesday and were very pleased with the excellent quality of the oysters. Please try the oyster shooters when you go, they are a delicious and reasonably priced too.
