The Zagat Review
An "impressive" oyster roster and other "creative" , "savory" seafood dishes make a splash at this "gourmet" sibling of Rioja, Bistro Vendôme and Euclid Hall in LoDo's Union Station, enhanced by "knowledgeable" service and cocktails from the "amazing" granita bar; while "beautiful" , the high-ceilinged yet narrow space can get "a little cramped" , and so can your budget (it's "terribly expensive" for "small" portions), but some opt to "sit out on the patio, people-watch and enjoy a good happy hour" for a real "treat."

We had reservation for a table later in the evening, but met up with a friend who happened to be at the bar before our table was ready. The bartenders were great! Knowledgeable and friendly. They almost made some damn good cocktails. Once our table was ready we decided to leave the bar, which was a terrible mistake. The food was excellent, the support staff was great, but our server, Karl, left lots to be desired. He had bad service manners, was unhelpful about the menu, and lacked personality. The table next to us actually asked us about what to order because he was no help. Overall, the experience and good was good, so we will be back again. However, we will stay at the bar next time.

Great customer service and great food. Just a little pricey, but at least you know you will be served well, and satisfied! Best place in Union Station!

I have left two bad reviews in the past and never a positive one. Until now. Stoic & Genuine is where I decided to have lunch for my birthday considering the burger I had at the Denver Burger Battle. I decided to split the burger in four for my family to try as an appetizer. It did not disappoint them. Probably the best burger that all four of us had ever had. I then ordered the Paella and was once again not disappointed. The food was just phenomenal and I'd say the best seafood in Colorado. The staff was more than knowledgeable and super kind and accommodating. I'll be back. Probably many many many times.
