Locally prized as a “culinary gem” , this “charming” Park Slope New American owes its “popularity” to a “creatively prepared” menu “backed up by an informed staff” ; the “casual but elevated” style extends to a “spectacular brunch” “if you can get in.”

Came here years ago when it was new to the neighborhood and I remembered the food being good. Revisited lately due to a friend's interest in trying it and I'm stumped as to why I stopped coming here. I mean, it's likely due to the fact that there are so many good restaurants in New York. There are a plethora of dining options, but Stone Park Cafe has maintained, if not improved, the quality of their dishes over the years. And having tried so many restaurants in the area, I can safely say that their food tops many others. My friends and I came for a late brunch (2pm) to avoid the crowds and wait. They stop serving brunch at 3pm, so it's just enough time to get our orders in and dine in a quieter atmosphere. Decor is clean and modern, yet comfortable. Ambience was bright and casual for brunch. We ordered the Eggs Any Style, Eggs Benedict, Buttermilk Pancakes, and Shrimp and Grits. All of the dishes were prepared well and everything was tasty. Service was friendly, prompt, and accommodating. A great brunch date! I will be back!

Stone park is by far my favorite restaurant. Not only because my uncle owns it, but because of it's amazing menu, with foods that usually I would spit out anywhere else, I gobble down. An amazing hamburger, steak, and french toast. The staff is full of amazing people, who have worked there for years. Some of my favorite bits of the restaurant come down to small details, tables with a fine and comfortable paper laid out on each one, so you can draw and play games while you wait for your food, which never takes long to arrive. The amazing and roomy event space next door, perfect for special occasions and for throwing parties and baby showers. When I was younger, I loved that right across the street, there an amazing playground, in which I used to go to either before or after my brunch. Anything you want, they have on the menu, and any drink you want, they have prepared and ready to serve. Stone Park, open for 12 years (more or less), is the perfect place to bring your family, your wife, or your friends, for an amazing breakfast, brunch, or dinner.

I've been here a few times already, mostly for brunch and once for dinner. They serve great brunch here and their steak hash is delicious. I came here for dinner and had their special that night, squid ink linguini. It wasn't bad... But I definitely prefer having brunch here instead! If you come for dinner though it's definitely a very romantic atmosphere, great for dates.
