Summer House Santa Monica
Bright, spacious New American eatery
American · Lincoln Park · $$
The Zagat Review
"Bright" , "beach-house" decor matches the "trendy, California" -inspired menu at this "cheery" Lincoln Park New American, a "breath of fresh air" that "makes you feel good" , especially "during the dreary winter" ; "solid" if "not outstanding" , the food is diverse enough to "appeal to everyone" , plus there’s an "enticing" bakery counter turning out "amazing" cookies.

The food here is really good. Generally there is a wait so make sure you take that into account. The area to eat is meant to feel like you are on a patio, so there are fans and air conditioners that are blowing hard so make sure that you bring a sweatshirt as it can get a bit chilly inside. All of the food and drinks are delicious so you can't go wrong- I do recommend the burger though.

Came in with my wife and daughter to celebrate my wife's birthday. Had an overall great experience! My wife and daughter have severe allergies and our server Anwar made sure they were completely taken care of. We can tell he was busy but he went out of his way to accommodate us! Thanks for finding a dessert they can both eat! The reason for the 4 stars is because the bathroom was a bit messy and my stall had no toilet paper! Other than that had a great experience and would highly recommend this spot. M.E.

Great Lettuce Entertain You restaurant - very well themed - I highly recommend coming here in the dead of winter or when it's snowing outside to give yourself a mental reprieve. The brunch is to die for, you're going to need a reservation and if you come too early be prepared to be seated with a lot of children. The drinks are also creative and fantastic and the dinner is on-par with what you'd call "Californian" or "New American" cuisine. The place reminds me of a place I once dined near Huntington Beach, CA.
