Tasting Counter
Intimate spot for American tasting menus
New American · $$$
An "amazing experience" unfolds at this high-end yet "relaxed" concept from chef Peter Ungár, where inventive, always-changing multicourse tasting menus "transport you" beyond the intimate, spare setting within a "funky" Somerville warehouse; guests purchase tickets (gratuity is included), specify allergies and request beverage pairings online in advance, then assemble at a modern, 20-seat counter where the team theatrically crafts and presents each "exquisitely prepared" plate.

While expensive, this place does offer a very high value. The food is very innovative with flavour combinations that you would not expect (seaweed in your dessert?). On top of that, drink pairings are included, and they are generous with their pours. If you are ever in the area I highly recommend coming here. I’ve been to Michelin starred restaurants at twice the price that does not even compare to this place.

This was a very memorable dining experience! I'd start by saying that it is on the high end of the price scale, but worth every penny! Everything we ate tasted simply divine, and seeing it prepared right in front of you, in such an intimate setting, added to the overall experience.

The experience was amazing. The staff incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The food and wine pairings ... beyond delicious. We went for a special occasion and this really helped make it special. Don't let the idea of tasting plates fool you, you will leave full of delicious food.
