The Zagat Review
A Central Park “landmark” , this “storied” American has a “delightfully updated” rustic interior and a “splendid” tree-lined courtyard; it may be a “tourist” magnet with “serviceable” food that “doesn’t soar as high as the prices” , but it’s “worth checking out” for an experience that’s “so very NYC.”

Tavern on the Green on Central Park in New York City is one of my favorite places to go, especially for a night of dinner and music. My brother plays the grand piano with his band on occasion at this wonderful Central Park landmark. My family enjoyed our meal immensely while my brother was playing making sure to ask for a table close to the stage but far enough away to protect our ears from the music. It's an absolutely delightful experience dining, listening to music 🎶, and going for a nighttime horse and buggy ride through the park. Enjoy sitting outside at one of the picnic tables or benches dining on casual fare having a drink or two. With excellent food and superlative service, it was an absolutely awesome 😎 experience. Although it's not inexpensive, I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone I know. I love ❤️ this place!

I've been meaning to write this for a while- we had our wedding brunch here back in July after an intimate ceremony in Central Park. The food was phenomenal- everyone licked their plates clean. I had the french toast and I still talk about it longingly! Cocktails were great too. The service really made the experience unforgettable. We were there for hours; celebrating, taking pictures, chatting...and we never felt rushed at all. This was during a very busy weekend brunch. We look forward to coming back for our anniversaries and would recommend it to anyone for events or just a special meal. I'd give it 10 stars if I could ✨🌟

Went here with my fiancé, and it’s a really good place for brunch. It was July when we were there so it was perfect for a brunch outside. I ordered some pancakes and I swear, it was the best pancakes I’ve ever eaten. They were so delicious, I basically still have dreams about them... The place is really cozy, perfect for a romantic brunch. The staff is so nice and professional. It’s a bit on the expensive side, but worth it since the location, staff and food is amazing.
