Neighborhood spot for New American eats
American · $$
Ambitious New American fare featuring locally sourced ingredients (think beef tartare with cured egg yolk and pumpkin ravioli with vermouth brown butter cream) is the specialty of this cozy spot with industrial-chic decor in downtown Chula Vista; P.S. a popular ‘Boozy Brunch’ with equally inspired options is offered on Sundays.

Zagat Mentions of Temp

Every dish that I ate at Temp was clearly composed of high quality ingredients, made with love. The French onion soup was prime of the most delicious of its breed I have ever consumed in my life. I ordered one of the toasts to accompany the soup, a decision well respevrd later on. The toast, while appearing perhaps a tad less filling than I would have hoped, was crisp, fresh, and a light accompaniment to the heavier, lightly torched cheese serving as the crust for the dream that was the soup. For my entree, I tasted the ravioli, which was steaming, filled with beautiful, bright squash, and came in a thin layer of white sauce. It was a stunning meal, and I will be returning in the near future to sample the remaining, rotating dinner menu, along with their weekend brunch.

This is a quaint but we'll organized restaurant that I really enjoyed. The potatoes and eggs were well seasoned and the French toast was soft on the inside and had a nice crispy outer coating. It's a nice little spot for brunch!

Good food and friendly service. Had the Short rib benedict. Great atmosphere. Downtown Chula Vista needed a place like this. Would definitely go back
