“A tried-and-true spot to quaff a few pints of Guinness after work” , this “comfy” Irish Downtowner is the “rare place to take your drink outside in SF” , thanks to tables lined up in a hidden alley; “getting a seat” can be “tough” , but fans are willing to wait to enjoy “great pub grub” and a “huge selection of whiskeys” delivered by “friendly” servers.

A hip and up and coming place, with a long history, that is great for an intimate date or a young crowd. It could be a very romantic place, but the atmosphere was more robust and energetic (as you would expect in an Irish pub). Our waitress was sociable and the meals a decent size. Some cool 80's music was playing in the background and noise from the TV's in the bar were audible; a pleasurable experience so much better than the typically dead atmospheres of other restaurants I've been in. A hidden gem in San Fransisco. 5 stars.

Got to the bar and had prompt service. Good fish tacos, even with a minor mistake with my “hold the...” request. Probably a bit overpriced, but the atmosphere an Irish pub should have (well, an American urban version). Excellent bar staff. Worth visiting.

Food's pretty good (we got the beef stew and the bangers with beans and mash, both were tasty but served kinda...lukewarm). Beer selection is okay, a bit subpar for what you'd expect at an Irish pub. Decent selection of American, scotch, and Irish whiskies. Good place to sit outside when the weather's nice. Overall, a solid neighborhood pub.
