The “fajitas are juicy and delicious” , the “tortillas are made fresh right at the front” and the margaritas are “awesome” at this longtime “shrine to all things Tex-Mex” in East End; though spruced up in recent years, there’s “no glitz or attitude” here, just a veteran staff, "wonderful" food and a “fun, lively” crowd.

Hubby brought me here for my Birthday. I wanted the Baked Oysters with blue crab. Unfortunately it wasn’t oyster season and wasn’t on the menu BUT chef came out (very nice and welcoming) and explained and recommended his octopus appetizer and tequila snapper. Love, love, love! Best Octopus and Snapper in H-town. Very tasty and delicious! I’m glad oyster weren’t on Menu cause that was the best dinner ever. Chef brought out a chocolate cake w/gelato which was amazing and on the House.

I have lived in Texas my entire life, and on average I eat Mexican food 5 times per month. To add, I have worked in the food and beverage industry for 15+ years, and fine dining for the last 6. This place is by far the BEST Mexican food I have ever had. The menu is huge and authentic. It had an incredible variety as well. The mesquite wood smoke hits you as you walk up. We were at immediately, greeted immediately, and served quickly. Alfredo was a great server as well. I want to make the four hour drive from Dallas to go again! Ninfa would be proud.

Nice to eat where fajitas were invented, though the prices reflect their pedigree. Come hungry as the portion sizes are big (so the prices are not too out of line). A full order of beef fajitas are $39, the small order is $27 (chicken is cheaper). The small order is larger than most dinner portions. Food quality was great for a Mexican fast casual restaurant, atmosphere inviting, the staff friendly, and the variety on the menu impressive. When in Houston, consider going there. You will not be disappointed.
