The Magazine Street locale is perfect for "sitting outside" and "people-watching" while soaking up this Caribbean joint's "casual" , "beachy atmosphere" and downing "tasty" tacos and "yummy" mixed drinks; portions are "generous" and everything's "cheap" , which often "results in a packed house" , though scoring a table is "well worth the wait" ; P.S. thrifty types should "make sure to catch Taco Tuesday."

This place is great! The guacamole is an absolute must order item on your next visit- it is fabulous. The tacos are really wonderful and there’s definitely something for everyone with the massive amount of variety on their menu. We love the atmosphere- it’s right in the middle of being family friendly yet still a feels like a fun local bar. The food is delicious, isn’t your run-of-the-mill fare, and this place doesn’t feel like a tourist attraction (which are all huge pluses in New Orleans)!

It's a rum house with a terrific rum selection, but when I asked for a rum list, the server had to go print one off (10 minutes). Then when we received it, there were no prices listed so I wasn't sure if what I wanted was $10 or $50. Had to make a list for the server to go check and come back (15 minutes). Ordered our food and rum on servers next visit, but it wasn't until we were finished with our food until we got our drinks (45 minutes after being greeted). This isn't a service problem, it's a management problem. I felt like I was taking so much of the servers time when she could have been focusing on other tasks. If you have a restaurant that is centered around rum, there should be a proper rum list. Not having one wastes valuable time for everyone involved. The guest, the server, and the bartender. It would only take 1 hour of management's time to do so. Help your employees make you money.

Tacos were a hit AND super fast service. Try an Uptown Girl Margarita for the best no-sugar added version I've ever had. This is a happenin' spot with a great island vibe.
