The Zagat Review
You’ll feel like you’ve “traveled to the Old South” at this “laid-back” Chelsea “find” near the High Line where the Southern grub is “seriously decadent” ; “delicious” cocktails are another plus, so even if it’s “just OK” , it’s still “fun” for happy hour.

A place with a good VIBE and a cheerful service staff. This place serves great breakfast or brunch, whatever you prefer along with some freshly brewed coffee. Whatever we ordered turned out to be excellent. The portion size is also decent but great taste. Definitely try the avocado toast. The decor inside is good too. However, the tables were really small. Enough for two people but we were three of us with three dishes we did squeeze in really tight. All in all I do recommend this place for brunch. I will return again but this time at night to try out their drinks and dinner.

I visited this establishment randomly on a early weds evening and the vibe was perfect for what I was in search for. My lady and I shared a $25 happy hr pitcher of bourbon tea which serves about 4 glasses and the taste was phenomenal. We weren't that hungry so we only had an order of fries and that was pretty good also. Our bartender was great she wasn't too pushy and her knowledge of the liquor selection was pretty impressive. If you're looking for chill vibes and a great cocktail def check this place out.

I'm willing to give this place a second chance, but my meal (fried chicken) wasn't cooked all the way through and I had to send it back. The staff was very apologetic and gave us a free dessert. However, it took a while (about 20 min) to get a new dish, at which point my husband had finished his dinner. Also, the free dessert ($8) didn't really make up for the bad entree (I think it was over $25), and we didn't really want dessert. We felt a meal comp would have been more fair and appropriate. All this said, the food was very good (especially the mac and cheese), as were the cocktails (we had the mezcal one). So I'm willing to assume this was a one off and hope to update this review on our next visit.
