To the Wind Bistro
Intimate spot with an eclectic menu
Bistro · City Park · $$
"Please don't tell anyone about this" low-key, intimate City Park charmer – unless it's "a person who appreciates little treasures" – since it only has about 20 seats surrounding an open kitchen of just a few square feet, where an "innovative" married team whips up a "unique" repertoire of "amazing" New American creations for moderate to upscale prices; "great service" and a small but smart selection of craft beers, wines and cocktails help seal the deal for fans.

Best dinner we've had in a long time! Food and service both were excellent. If you don't order the cornmeal waffle appetizer you're missing out!

We were visiting from Minneapolis, and randomly checked out this place because of the high reviews. 5 stars understates our experience. Food-wise, we have been to some of the best restaurants in Minneapolis, Chicago, and New York, and this place honestly rivals some of the best. Exquisite presentation, paired with phenomenal flavors with (now often rare) filling portions. Ambience-wise... top-notch. The place has only 19 seats and immediately you feel that intimacy. We sat at the counter and watched the culinary art be created, and mingled with fellow customers, service, and both chefs (Andy & Royce). As we were instructed upon further food/drink recommendations in and around Denver by fellow customers, the chefs chimed in with their favorites too. These people love what they do, but love where they live and the food culture Denver boasts. Chef Andy temporarily paused his work to write us (in cursive... bad ass) a list of his top 20 breakfast/dinner/brewery/bars, spanning from Denver to Boulder. Now, if you can describe to me a better dining experience, go ahead and try. Non-pretentious, down-to-earth, uber-high quality chefs, with matching cuisine, and a wonderful intimate setting. To the Wind blew us away!!! We would recommend it to anyone visiting, or... anyone at all!

Absolutely awesome food! It's a small place and they don't do reservations, so it's first come first served. But despite that, we loved this place! The staff is fantastic and knowledgeable and the chefs are so cool! We were sitting right in front so we could talk to the chefs and watch them as they were preparing the dishes! Great wine and drink menu! You're definitely getting quality food here that's worth the price!
