The Zagat Review
“Perfectly tender” noodles in “powerhouse” broths draw fans to these “fast-paced” , cash-only joints where you go for the “soul-satisfying” ramen, not the “utilitarian” digs; no reservations lead to “crazy” waits, but no one minds given the “cheap” tabs and “real-deal” grub.

The food was mediocre at best. Really nothing special compared to other places nearby. We arrived a few minutes before opening (which is at 4:30pm), and one staff sitting outside playing with her phone yelled at us "WE OPEN IN A FEW MINUTES" in a very rude way. What a way to greet. While we are eating, the employees were busy chatting amongst themselves during the whole time. One Japanese staff was trying to teach a Japanese joke to a non-Japanese staff, and they were talking and laughing so loud right near the bar, and it was very bothering. These staffs are very young though, and I can understand young people can have fun when they work, or even make some mistakes. But what's missing is the proper management of the place. Manager or owner whoever is in charge of this place must be blamed.

You just have a feeling this place is going to be good when you walk in. It’s pretty small so don’t be surprised if you have to wait, but it’s worth it. The pork buns were fantastic, and the service was quick. The chicken paitan was really well done too, and a great afternoon meal. The best part though was probably getting to watch the cooks prepare different dishes while sitting at the counter. All in all, great experience and definitely worth a visit.

The Chicken Paitan is so so GOOD, if you want spicy they put it on the side and you add it yourself. It is very small and cozy but the service is fast and the customer service is very pleasant. The Afternoon rush is quite harsh if you go expecting to be seated right away. We normally go for the lunch special, for $15.00 you get a Main course, Appetizer and a drink (Beer). You have to check it out. I really like this place.
