Regulars “always see people they know” at these "down-to-earth" diners, home to “traditional” short-order fare and some “new takes on old favorites” ; some say that the “retro" decor “could use some upgrading” and the servers "could be a little more friendly" , but they're an "inexpensive" way to stay "local."

I would happily have given this spot 5 stars. The food hit the the right spots, the service was friendly and attentive, the setting very nice and super clean rest rooms. HOWEVER, the rude young lady who greeted us would have been enough for us to leave IMMEDIATELY had it not been because we had been there the day before and knew she was not representative of the locale. As a restaurateur myself I find it appalling that folks like her can find work in our field. Her attitude was SO poor I thought perhaps we were on Candid Camera! Inexcusable!!

classic, iconic Americana atmosphere, fast, friendly service and patrons, yummy food. try the grits if you’re in the mood for something delicious and the spiked shakes if you’re in the mood for something sweet! plus I love their commitment to the different and beautiful people who live in their neighborhood.

The Trolley Car Diner is an old fashion style diner that brings back the good old days of friendly faces with friendly service. The food is great and the portions are large. Even the location off of Germantown pike fits into the feel of an era long since past. I hope you enjoy the diner as much as I did. Thanks for reading
