Take "a step back in time" at this circa-1856 French Quarter "treasure" , where the "classic" five-course Creole prix fixe dinner is "augmented by an imaginative [à la carte] menu" ; "service is impeccable" in the "handsome" , "old high-ceilinged dining room" (and "historic" stand-up bar), and fans recommend "a classic grasshopper cocktail" in the place where it was reportedly created.

The food was wonderful and the service was great up until it was time to get the check. That took awhile, otherwise would of giving 5 stars. Being a server I do understand these things happen so wasn't upset at all. Overall this place was great!

Walking through French market area looking for a place to have a less hectic lunch. Heard about Tujague's and decided to try. Good choice, ambience was cool and quite. My wife and I enjoyed our food and drink plus a conversation. Would recommend this place.

Conveniently located around the main attractions in New Orleans. We did a reservation for our New Year’s Eve dinner, but we still had to wait for one hour past our reservation. The bar and the restaurant were full, so we enjoyed a couple of drinks at the bar while waiting. Drinks were very good! No place to seat at the bar. Considering the crowd around New Orleans for New Year and how cold it was outside, not too bad. Good thing that Tujague’s was very close to the place to watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks as it was a very cold night and being so close to the river did not help.
