Exceptional customer service with home cooking better than grandma's! This place is soul food and drinks with a twist. Every bite I took was delicious! From the sweet potatoes biscuits and cornbread that tastes like cake; down to the veggies and dessert. If you want true southern food that is done the right way...stop reading this and go right now!!

I wanted to like it. I can see where others enjoyed it, but it was a no go for me. There was a National Black MBA chapter event where people were laughing and having a great time. There were smiles and laughter. I'm going to assume that the drinks are tasty. The seating was welcoming with overstuffed pillows. The menu was slightly difficult to read. They would do better with printing everything on a white linen paper. The graphics and lighting made picking an entree a little difficult. I ordered fried green tomatoes with goat cheese/bacon and vegetable pasta. The tomatoes were tasty and firm. I am avoiding grains so I didn't eat the batter on top, but they were enjoyable overall. I had high hopes for the spaghetti squash with collard green pesto. The only problem was that the spaghetti and the vegetable ragout tasted like two separate dishes in the same bowl. Not a hit. The other person in my party got gumbo, which was tasty with a good amount of seafood. The roux wasn't powerful, but it was okay. The only drawback was the rice was overcooked. Under different circumstances, it wouldn't be too bad. The staff was friendly and accommodating.Love this place the food, staff and ambiance is awesome. Thursday night performance are always a hit. Let's not leave out the delicious cocktails yum!

My first experience with the restaurant was impressive, the service is welcoming & friendly. The order of the food is timely. When you receive your food it's a great artful display the taste of the food here is second to non, I'll keep sharing this restaurant with all my peers etc.
