The Zagat Review
Fans say these Bay Area links in the "popular" LA burger chain "live up to the hype" , serving "innovative, juicy" patties in "amazing" flavor combinations with "housemade condiments" adding "another dimension" ; maybe "portions could be a little larger" for the price, but wine and beer compensate.

Suuuper expensive (burger only, all sides are extra) and service can be spotty - sometimes we have great experiences and other times less so. Wait staff are often a little salty, and can give you a hard time about adjustments, but greeters and servers are quite kind! Side portion sizes are also not consistent, we've sat next to people who get considerable less or more than us each time we go. Eventually we will figure out the trick. BUT burgers are great, in particular the Impossible burger, definitely worth a try, perhaps in the slightly more affordable slider form. Sauces and sweet potato fries are also great. Oakland location has kinder servers who will make sure your very expensive burger is the way you like! (Adding a star because the owner clearly cares about the establishment and responded! Means a lot)

Did not meet my expectations at all. Service was very slow even though there weren't a lot of people in the restaurant. It took them around 15 minutes before a server came to take my order. Food came fairly quickly however. The plating is great; the burger looks amazing when it finally gets to you. I ordered the falafel burger, and it was okay. The buns are very soft, and the patty is pretty unique. The other toppings also paired well with the burger, giving it a nice spicy kick. However, the burger keeps falling apart, especially the patty, so eating this burger is somewhat of a pain. Overall, the place is a bit overpriced for the service and food.

Great food - terrible first waiter! We got their two burgers without meat and they were both delicius! We also ordered their fries with bacon, which was fun to try, but a bit too sweet for me and my husband. The burgers are what earns them the 4 star. The first waiter we had didn't seem to be present and just runned around spilling sauce on the floor and over our table and then going on to the next table. We tried to get in contact to him, but he was running confused around the other tables. He seemed extremely unproffesional. After this episode another waiter, that seemed to be the one making sure everything was going accordingly in the restaurant, cleaned up, apologized, took over waiting on our table and even payed for our burgers as an extra apology - he saved the experience! With that said I don't think we will be coming back though - there are other burger places to try in SF :)
