Indian · Rittenhouse Square · $$
True to its name, this North Indian hangout brings a dose of modernity to its upbeat Rittenhouse digs, decorating the space with glittering chandeliers, orange seating, wood accents and whitewashed brick walls, plus a glassed-in bar. We really enjoyed our meal here. First and foremost, the service was the best we've ever had, ever. At one point I think we had 4 people that were helping replace utensils, fill drinks, remove plates. The cool thing was that it wasn't an overwhelming amount of service, it was just right. The food was also really great, and the drinks were fantastic.

Great place to visit if you're in the area if you're in the mood for Indian fusion cuisine. Even if you want to grab a drink they have a wonderful bar area with staff that can keep up with a busy bar. (Our group was 25 deep and they had no issues keeping up with our drinks and food on top of helping the other patrons).

Last night my husband (who made reservations 3 weeks in advance) had an issue with a server because the server kept saying things marked on the menu as vegan were vegetarian and had dairy. My husband is vegan and there was a whole back and forth. The server was concerned about my husband and didn’t want to have an allergy stop his options but wasn’t able to know the difference between Vegan and vegetarian. After calling the manager over, being ready to walk out, the manager Harsh, took great care of us. He apologized and explained everything he could eat on the menu in detail reiterating that the menu was correct and then ensured every step of the meal was perfect along the way. He also treated us to desert and wine and personally invited us to call him if we ever wanted a table in the future and that he would assist us. The customer service turn around was perhaps the best I’ve ever seen. Not to mention the Indian food here is the best in the city if not the Northeast. The Indian food is amazing. We tried from each part of the menu and can’t wait to return. I would highly suggest the Goba, The okra salad, the chicken from the kebab menu and anything from the entrees. Wow! Thanks for a very special valentines date and ensuring we will be customers for as long as you’ll have us. I would make a small suggestion to ensure your wait staff know what is the difference between vegan and vegetarian because both vegans and vegetarians should come here to try their food. Amazing! Thank you Harsh!
