Vessel NOLA
Coastal Med menu in former church digs
American · Mid-City · $$
Set in a historic former church, this Mid-City Mediterranean dishes up seasonal coastal fare with Louisiana inspirations – think Gulf snapper crudo, charcuterie and creative flatbreads – in a striking space complete with original stained-glass windows, Gothic chandeliers and high ceilings. True to the restaurant's name, the bar serves its cocktails, beer bombers and wine in thoughtfully chosen vessels.

Wow!! My wife and I have been here twice; once for drinks and a small plate and another visit for dinner. We absolutely love Vessel. It is one of the more unique dinibg experiences in New Orleans. I would say that it is a must to put to put on your list of dining out options. The drinks are well done and the bartender ls are great along with cheerful. The food menu is a solid touch and may possibly have one of the best burgers in the city! Wrap all of this up in the amazing charm of an old church and you simply have an instant New Orleans classic. Thank you to the staff at Vessel for your incredible service and a wonderful experience!! Cheers

My wife and I were on vacation in New Orleans and drove by this place on our way to Katie's down the street. At first glance I thought it was a church then saw their sign on the lawn that read "Eat Drink Congregate" and realized it was a restaurant. I booked a table at 9PM and was seating after a bit of a wait. While we waited my wife and I sat in their open lounge area and I grabbed a drink for my wife and myself. The host continued checking up on us and letting us know the status of our table. Once seated we ordered a small cheese plate and when it arrived one of the staff members educated us on all items on the plate. Food, drinks and atmosphere were all excellent. Will definitely return.

Stopped in last week for dinner with some friends. We waited for a couple members of our party to arrive at the bar and had a cocktail first. Very impressive selection of new and classic cocktails. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu as one of our guests had a food allergy. The lamb porterhouse was excellent and the garlic fries were delicious as an appetizer for the table as well. Someone at another table got the burger and it looked amazing. Will be back to try that for sure.
