Vegetable forward.... Being more inclined to my carnivorous habits, I initially I had a slight concern that I would leave hungry. Man was I wrong! The first dish of the tasting menu alone was practically a meal in itself with several small dishes and bites to try. Our awesome server Carrie provided us with excellent service the whole night and the cocktails were hands down some of the best we’ve had anywhere. We enjoyed them so much we even went “bartender’s choice” for our last and we’re blown away by how they absolutely nailed it! The most fun was taking a small field trip to have our third course by the open grill and fire out on the patio with excellent fresh flatbread that we could construct ourselves. I have to give it to Vicia, you’re restaurant has definitely changed the way I, and most likely others like me, approach the celebration of what is grown from the ground above and below. Well done!

I never got to try their dinner/tasting menus, but they do a casual lunch service that is phenomenal. Everything is prepared with fresh and wholesome ingredients, and are loaded with flavor. They have possibly the best chicken salad I've ever had. Service is rather quick; the restaurant presentation is very attractive. They clearly don't lower their standards for their lunch service, and if it's any indication of what dinner service is like, then Vicia deserves every bit of recognition they've received this past year!

We can here on Thursday night and got the tasting menu. We could tell it was well planned out and there were lots of different flavor combinations, however they were heavy on the vegetables. There was probably less than 2 oz of meat throughout the 5 course meal. It was also heavy on hard root vegetables. Seasonably a place like this might be better to go to any other time of year since the variety of seasonable veggie would be much greater. The turnip tacos were really fantastic though. The green harissa on the Mediterranean platter was very tasty. By doing the tasting menu we got a really experiential meal. The first course had 7 different items which let us try a lot of things. We also got to walk out to the grill and eat a course out there. They were very good about accommodation dietary restrictions and food preferences. It would be a great place to take an adventurous vegetarian.
