An “elegant” “taste of Vienna” , Kurt Gutenbrunner’s West Village “marvel” crafts “Nouvelle” Austrian fare that’s “both hearty and delicate” , served by a “talented” team in a “sophisticated” space appointed with Julian Schnabel paintings; most agree the “budget-busting” bill is “warranted” for such a “memorable” meal.

Wallse offers refuge to the neighborhood often trolled by celeb seekers and tabloid trashers. First the President pokes fun at Waverly Inn, and next The New York Times documents hi jinx at the Spotted Pig. You won't find that here if you wish to sup in peace. The owner Kurt and his trusty bartender gave me all that and a surprise kicker. At the end of my weinersnitchel supper, the owner presented me a copy of his cookbook. Now I use this resourceful recipe guide to make home meals for my girlfriend. Keep up the great work Wallse !

Exceptional Austrian food. The Wiener Schnitzel was perfectly prepared and all the dessert was exquisite. Highly recommend.
