Popular with “young 20s and 30s” , these “local hangouts” dish out “New Wave” American “diner food” with an emphasis on “heavenly” market-fresh veggies that make them a “vegetarian’s paradise” ; they’re often “crowded” with “elbow-to-elbow” seating, but “value” prices keep the appeal high.

This is where a good restaurant concept dies a slow chain-restaurant death. The original place in Manhattan used to be so good. Clean, healthy food, delicious vegetables, consistent and reliable. That has changed. The vegetables are over-salted, over-sweetened and dripping in unhealthy oil. Everything tastes the same, which makes me think all orders are fried in the same juice. Really disappointing experience - and of course ridiculously over-priced. No, I won’t be coming back and neither should you.

Let me start off with, no, you will not regret coming to this place for food. This is a restaurant that I think honestly does pride itself on making vegetables actually taste good and they would not be wrong in thinking that. The menu itself is a bit less structured but the wait staff compromises by being extremely versed in the every dish. The prices are not the cheapest but you can honestly have a nice healthy meal. Conversations are a little tougher to have but still pretty nice place.

Sat at the bar and had a terrific meal and wonderful drinks. The bartender made it special. He was more interested in pleasing us than in selling us. That made the entire experience far more enjoyable. Bravo to him!
