Japanese small plates, sushi & sake
Japanese · Murray Hill · $$
Part of a Japan-based restaurant group, this Murray Hill spot serves sushi and sashimi (sourced from its own fish farm) along with skewers, tempura and other hot and cold izakaya dishes. A sleek but warm room with rustic woods sets the stage for dinner, after-work snacks and lots of sake.

Good sushi but nothing to brag about when it came to hot dishes. Read each positive review and walked in expecting a solid meal for a satisfactory price on comparison to other Japanese restaurants. Instead I should have just saved my money for another restaurant on St Mark's place and enjoyed Japanese BBQ there. Avoid this place if you can and pick another if you just want sashimi.

Great place if you're in a mood for high quality fish for generous price. They import most of their fish from Japan. Lunch specials and happy hours are great too.

Such a beautiful modern place. I’m so glad that we found this place by accident. It’s quite new with modern style decor. Lunch menu is pretty simple- four choices of lunch set st only $18! When my lunch arrived, it was nicely presented, almost too beautiful to eat. It was fresh, healthy and most importantly tasty. The desserts are s bit pricey but yummy.
