"Meaty" crab and lobster rolls are the lures at these New England–style seafooders where the "flavorful, affordable" catch is served by a "cheery" , "helpful" crew; since the "low-key" , nautically themed joints are "popular with locals" and "there are no reservations" , "be prepared to wait" ; P.S. the Tuesday oyster special is the "best deal."

Summary: GO FOR IT! Great, fresh, delicious food! Wow. This place is outstanding. It was our last night in San Francisco and we wanted something good but also comfortable. So we decided to Google restaurants in the area, my wife found Woodhouse and I'm glad she did. Food was delicious and worth it. If you love lobster rolls you gotta try theirs it was terrific. It comes in two sizes I do believe it was 3 oz and 6 oz, I worried the 3 oz wouldn't be enough since I'm 6'4" 250 but it was plenty. Don't pass up Woodside if you like seafood.

I remembered their lobster rolls tasting better. While they have were generous with the lobster meat, the bread was dry and could use a bit more buttering. The fish and chips though is always good. Crispy, tasty batter... and moist flaky fish.. yum!

We've walked by this place about 50 times and it always seems crowded. We finally went there and left wondering why it's so busy. We had the fish and chips and fish tacos, which was not bad, but forgettable. All 3 stars go to the service, which was excellent. But if you are over 50 years old then you would be advised to go elsewhere. We have never been to a restaurant that has a menu with a font that is so small, skinny and faint that it renders much of the menu unreadable. All in all, there are better experiences within a block or two.
