Second restaurant of Ortega's we visited on this trip. This was really stellar. The food was unique and mostly excellent. Between 4 of us, we tried about 10 different small dishes which were really great. The service was excellent, and they kept the drinks flowing. Lots of great Mescal on the menu, with an in depth explanation of the different areas and types. The venue has a great location, and the downtown area has a lot going on now.

Good to very good food though not too many were xochuan. Inventive drinks, some with a Mexican angle. Good decor. Friendly service. But too noisy in the main room.

OK! I know folks are gonna be like, Why the pic of the stink bug but it was part of the outside dining experience so whatever. The food was yummy, worth the trip. In all fairness, I had more wine than food but the great atmosphere and pleasant customer service coupled with the food and location will make it a new favorite. For the adventure seeking diners, they have insects in the menu. After seeing the stink bug, I was done with crawlers. Happy dining!!!
