The Zagat Review
Near the airport in Kenner is this “great little neighborhood” joint slinging some of the “best” seafood around, particularly the “phenomenal” oysters and po' boys; the “small” space is no-frills (“bright lights”, wood paneling), but “reasonable prices” keep it “crowded” – still, it's “worth the wait” as the staff makes everyone “feel at home”, even if you're just “popping in before flying out”; P.S. fresh catch is available to go from its next-door market.
What To Order
For a variation on the ubiquitous fried seafood, order the alligator and calamari appetizers blackened, which replaces the batter with tangy, crusty seasoning.
