Our Summary Review

Expect Jewish soul food (think matzo ball soup, brisket and pastrami) updated with a seasonal, sustainable angle at this Downtown deli from chef-owner Michael Siegel (formerly of Betelnut), who does all the smoking, brining, curing and pickling (and most of the baking) in-house; the storefront, which is simply outfitted with subway tile, exposed brick and a blackboard menu, is geared for takeout but has a long counter for folks who prefer to nosh on-site (note that the deli is open only Monday–Friday from 8 AM–4 PM).
