Norman's Cay Now Serving Exotic, Invasive Lionfish

By James Mulcahy  |  November 11, 2013

You may not see lionfish on a lot of restaurant menus, but one new eatery in NYC is trying to change that. Norman's Cay, which takes its name from a Caribbean island, now offers the fish, which is an invasive species that's decimating the native wildlife and coral reefs. If the public can develop a taste for it, that may help create a demand and control the population. It's a valiant cause, so good thing that it's also a tasty fish. Check it out in the video above, and if you want to have a bite, you can order a whole fried lionfish by calling the restaurant at 646-481-1229 with 24 hours' notice.
